Feels like Fall!

Fall is finally here!  Life is crazy busy between chasing these two crazies and keeping up with work and home but we wouldn't want it any other way!  This weekend we played catch-up from being out of town for Kal's birthday party last weekend {post coming soon} and to add to the chaos I turned around and went out of town for work during the week.
These two kept their daddy on his toes while I was gone.  Tyler jokingly said, "we'll try not to burn the house down"  - prior to my departure.  So when I got a text one evening "everything and everyone is fine and the fire is out". I simply laughed and went on.  However once I got settled in my hotel room and called to check in Tyler quickly explained that he wasn't kidding!!  The boys had started a small fire with my blow dryer and toilet paper.  Needless to say, the blow-dryer is now stored in a high cabinet.  Overall, the boys did great while I was away.  I'm so lucky to have such a hands-on husband/daddy that can care and comfort for our crazy precious little cowboys.
Something about this picture reminds me of my dad.  Maybe it's his stance or maybe it's the sophisticated tie?! ha!
We had a great Sunday afternoon outside soaking up the cooler fall temperatures and playing with the neighbor boys!
Whitney and I joked that our little guys looked like "rag-a-muffins" but I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures after her dad dropped us off some pumpkins.  Our porches are certainly looking festive - I love it!
My mums are in full bloom as well.  Oh, the little things :)

Kal is 2!!

Today was a momentous occasion... our baby boy turned two years old!

We headed to my parents after lunch today.  It was great to spend the day celebrating with family.  When we arrived at my parents my sweet mom had a cupcake with two candles waiting for big boy Kal.  He blew his candles out like a champ - you'd think he was at least a 3 year old!
My sister came over when her kids got out of school.  The kids played and then we had dinner at their favorite restaurant that has a sandbox on the patio.
 "How big are you Kal?!"

It was great to spend the day celebrating and we're looking forward to more partying this weekend.
We love you Kallahan aka Chumley aka Wild Man!

High Five For Friday

1//  We explained to Keeler that when the new furniture arrived that they no longer would be allowed to eat on the couches.  I told him maybe we could bring in his kid table from his bedroom and that's where they could eat breakfast.  First thing Monday morning this little cowboy moved in his table.  Our living room now resembles a restaurant for small people but we're ready for new furniture!  Keeping our fingers crossed for next Wednesday.
2//  Oh Kal, this boy is a momma's boy.  He loves to be by my side at all times.  I caught this rare moment of him in his room alone "reading."
3//  Momma's boy, need I say more?
4//  Kal is a highchair graduate!  Seeing these two hold hands during our dinner prayer is priceless.
5//  High Five for rain!  Our Gator rides have been less this week due to a couple rainy days and cooler temps.  Is fall really on it's way?!

Weekend Whoas!

FAMILY time is the BEST time.
Just a few "whoas" from a great weekend with my cowboys.
Keeler and Tyler went dove hunting on Thursday evening.  Great father/son bonding.
Kal and I stayed home.  He played outside with the neighbors and then stayed up a little late and watched Big Brother with me.  Hallelujah Amanda is out of the house!!
On Friday, Granny (our sitter) was out of town so Tyler stayed with the boys in the morning and I watched them Kal in the afternoon.  Keeler went  to work with Tyler - he's such a little worker.
Kal and I had a great afternoon being domesticated.  We cleaned, baked cookies and even cooked dinner.  I told Tyler I could be a "Pinterest wife" if I stayed home with just one kid.  Who am I kidding, it wouldn't last long ;)
Saturday, the little cowboys and I had a relaxing day at home.  Since all the laundry was caught up we lounged in our pajamas until late morning then went shopping in town and to the library.  It pretty much was a perfect day.
In the evening, we went to the movies as a family to see Planes.  This was Kal's FIRST TIME to go to the movies and he did perfect.  The show didn't start until 8pm so I was afraid since that's his typical bedtime.  He took his blanket and sat on our laps the entire time.  I am so glad we've finally reached the stage that he's old enough to go because our little town theater does a great job bringing in the latest children's movies on a regular basis.
Sunday we ventured over to Garden City for shopping.  Our pantry was getting pretty bare.
We ate a quick lunch at Arby's.  Keeler told us, "that's the best burger I've ever had!"  He was even telling his Granny about it today.  We might of even made a few impulsive furniture purchases on our shipping trip too!  #abouttime #happymommy
We plum wore these two out!  Keeler fell asleep as soon as we headed home {with sunglasses on} but the other little grumpy man was determined he wasn't falling asleep.  He was punishing me since I didn't let him run into Target with me.  He finally gave up about 30 minutes from the house.
Sunday evening, Tyler grilled dinner while I made more cookies.  Yes, we were really into cookies this weekend.  After dinner Keeler and I decorated for fall.  We might be a little early but I just couldn't resist.  He loves helping me and I love this time together.

The Cutest Cowboy Ring Bearers!

In August, Keeler and his cousin Bryon were ring bearers {yet again} in their cousin Heather's wedding.  These two are pros!
The wedding was beautiful and Heather was a stunning bride.  She had a cowboy theme wedding and everywhere you looked there was pink and lime green.
Yesterday, Heather emailed the link to her pictures.  They ended up with some fabulous photos. Again, I thought I better post for keepsake and I know some grandparents that will appreciate seeing them too :)
We were a little apprehensive on how well the little cowboys would do together during the ceremony but they stood up with the groomsmen just perfectly.  Great job boys!
The boys didn't quite know what to think about walking with the flowergirls but oh my goodness, they were all so cute.
Bryon really took a liking to his little flowergirl ;)
 {The Reception}
These two and Kal had the best time at the reception.
They all love to dance and have a good time.  We couldn't keep Kal away from the candy bar and then off the dancefloor.  I think he's going to be like his mommy! #cantdancebutiloveit
I absolutely adore this picture of uncle Troy with Keeler and Bryon.  Tyler has always looked up to his uncle so much and it's evident why - he's the greatest guy and I think he has a couple more admirers on his hands.
Congrats again on your special day Mrs. Heather Mitchell.  Thanks for sharing your special day and for asking Keeler to be a part.  We love you!

Keeler’s First Day of Preschool 2013

Today is Keeler’s first day of preschool!
No, you're not imagining things... Keeler did graduate from preschool last year.  If you're interested in why we chose to have him take it "just one more time" check out THIS post.
We are so blessed to have Mrs. Winner as his teacher again.
She has been so good for Keeler.
Look at how much my little cowboy has changed since he started school.  I love watching him grow and learn.  This year he walked in with his head held high and said he was "so excited!"  Not a single tear was shed - well Kal was really pissed he didn't get to go to school.
After a quick high five we separated and I feel confident that we made the best decision for our little guy.  I hope he enjoys every second of his last year in preschool.
