Life Lately

Ho Ho Ho! Just a quick post to share what we've been up to.
We had a great time at the town's annual Christmas Light Parade. We didn't go all out on a float this year because our main Christmas Guru, Adam, wasn't feeling well and was about to have back surgery. We still looked festive and BRIGHT!
Kallahan's been wearing my favorite Christmas shirt. Looking through pictures from last Christmas he had it on very often in December and I think we're repeating a trend. Hey, if the shirt fits!
Oh, and these red rubber boots are his new favorite too.
Granny babysat the boys while we were at my work Christmas party. The kitties seem to love her just as much as we do.
Keeler's been working hard on his horse habitat.
He was pretty proud to take it to school.
Cozy nights on the couch reading Christmas books is the best!
Grandma Kak surprised us on Wednesday by coming to town. She came for Keeler's music program. We all LOVED having her visit. Kallahan especially enjoyed spending time with her at the house - just relaxing and getting some special one-on-one attention. These two have a special bond.
Then it was time to watch our star! My boys are beyond blessed in the grandparent department.
Keeler did great at the program. They had several really cute songs.
And lastly, both the little cowboys are back on the radio for American Implement's Holiday Greetings. I know I'll want to listen back at these someday so I have to post.
Have a happy Saturday!

Friday Favorites - HOwie Returns

Our first few days in December have been very *merry*!
I'm linking up with ErikaNarci and Andrea to share my Friday Favorites.
November 30th the little cowboys got to open one present. Of course this is a favorite!
They were thrilled to discover their Schleich Farm Advent Calendars
Let the countdown begin!
December 1st, our Elf on the Shelf, HOwie, made his return from the North Pole.
He surprised the little cowboys with their favorite North Pole breakfast.
He brought along each boy a special letter {specifically stating what they've asked Santa for and how to behave in order to receive}, an ornament and a special personalized plate.
These two were so excited for HOwie's return.
Somehow his donuts are soooo much better and his milk had sprinkles, y'all!
Kallahan admiring his new ornament.
Those faces will always be my favoriteI keep thinking this might be our last year in this season of life so I'm soaking it all in!!
HOwie's kept us on our toes since his return. So far, his favorite surprise was Saturday morning when he was positioned at the top of this adorable tee-pee. Keeler just knew it came from the North Pole because the lights were in the shapes of snowflakes ;)

Merry December!

How is it already December, folks? I'm hoping to get the blog updated over the next few weeks. Life may be settling down some. I keep telling myself busy is good.
Until I can update, here's a glimpse of our Christmas card this year. Family pictures didn't take place this year due to poor planning, wind and sickness so I opted for a little year in review {plus trucks with trees, kittens and tartan}.
Hope to be back to blogging more often soon.

The Polar Express

During Thanksgiving break this cute crew got to travel on the Polar Express to the North Pole with their Mimi and Jim-dad.
Mimi and Jim-dad have six grandsons. So you can only imagine how rowdy this crew can be but they do great with them! Mimi is the best boy-grandma!
We wanted to get some pictures before they headed off on their adventure. As you can imagine, it was quite the ordeal.
Don't they look darling in their matching pajamas?!
Smile boys :)

The cutest cousins
 and then they were off...
Mimi and Jim-dad were great about sending us pictures throughout the evening.
I'm sure they spent a small fortune on souvenirs but they sure made some little boys feel special.
Keeler told Santa that he wanted a kitten. Kallahan told Santa he wanted farm toys, just like Bryon did.
Thanks Mimi and Jim-dad for such a fun adventure. They have talked about it nonstop for days.
