Kallahan will be in 2nd grade. He is in class with several of his buddies so he can't wait to get there. His teacher his Mrs. Hickman. We've heard nothing but wonderful things about her.

Look how tall this kid is! Keeler is headed to 5th grade. This is his last year of elementary school - wow, how time flies. His teachers are Mrs. Hardin & Mr. Rodriguez.

I'm gonna miss these guys during the day. We have had such a wonderful summer & made some very special memories.


I feel so blessed to be able to work from home and get more time with them.

Getting use to a quiet house is going to be an adjustment the next few days.

4th Grade & 1st Grade

Today our little cowboys headed back to school.

This is the first year that I didn't feel extra emotional and sappy. I think it was because we weren't hitting any major milestones and both the boys were going back to the same schools they attended last year. We all hated to see summer go but it will be nice to get back into a routine.

Kallahan wanted Blizzy in his picture. She didn't cooperate too well but we managed to sneak her way into the best photo.

Kallahan wanted dad to tie his shoes so they stayed tied all day. Guess what, they did!

Oh boy, I love this little toothless grin.

Kallahan and his new teacher, Mrs. Hart at meet & greet last night. Keeler had her in 1st as well and had a great year. The boy's Mimi taught with Mrs. Hart years ago and we go to church with her so needless to say, we were super excited to see that Kal was going to be in her class.

Kallahan had a great first day! He said he had the most fun at recess and Mrs. Hart is very fun!

Keeler's teacher is Mrs. Johnson. After meeting her last night he had the assignment to bring a bag of 5 items that represented him on the first day. He selected:

a basketball... for his favorite sport

his new Steph Curry tee... for his favorite basketball player

a picture of his football team... because he's excited to start playing football again

a work glove... because he likes to help work on the farm

a belt buckle... something he likes to collect

Keeler was NOT ready to go back to school. He is my emotional child. He made it through the day and had a big smile when he got off the shuttle bus. I think he was just anxious but we're hopeful and praying he'll have another great year.

Chrsitmas Program 2017

Last Wednesday, the little cowboys were in the Christmas Program at church. The entire Soul Patrol did so great and put on a wonderful Christmas Program. Both of the boys had a speaking party and did awesome. So JOYFUL!!  We don't where Kal get's his dance moves? :)

This year I love, love, love how our family pictures turned out.  I am so blessed to have such a talented friend, Candice, that has recently started a photography business.

She surpassed my expectations and then some. She really is a magician because you would never know that we were swarmed by mosquitoes. Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen so many. She was able to capture all of these somehow between us swatting and squirming.
